The Mantra Esplanade is located on the corner of two of Cairns most popular streets: The Esplanade and Shields Street. The Mantra Esplanade is 10 minutes drive away from Cairns International Airport, Australia.The Cairns Convention Center is only two blocks away and Mantra Esplanade Apartments have there own conference room that can seat 40 delegates theater style; there are also business facilities (internet connection, fax and photocopying services).

Mantra Esplanade is located in such strategic location, especially when travelling with young kids. Service is great, reception is very helpful and we were even upgraded from hotel room to 1 bedroom apartment for one week stay.
I was very disapointed because prior to booking I was not told that the room would not be serviced daily. I could have paid $25 extra per service if desired and booked on the preceding day.The Motel staff told me this was Mantra policy however I have since found out that is not true. The facility itself was well located and comfortable.
I did enjoy the stay at the Mantra Esplanade very convenient
As the pool and spa were in the shade it was a tad cool, luckily the esplanade pool was great for swimming as the sun was on it all day. Only negative is that when you book into the Mantra they ask for a credit card imprint which is pretty much the norm these days but what isn't is that you have to read in the inhouse book that they charge you 2% surcharge if you use your credit card. I would have liked for the staff to tell me this at the counter when they asked me for my credit card - I know that the merchant fee for credit cards is high but it looks like the business have to pass this onto the customer - I still don't like it. It has made me more aware to ask the question at booking in - do you charge a surcharge if I use my credit card.
