Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa Style of Rooms

While staying at Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa you have a choice of two room styles. Select from air-conditioned Daintree Retreats close to the main reception, or for a truly eco experience, try a private freestanding Rainforest Retreat a short walk from reception for a night in your own private rainforest. All rooms at Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa have private bathrooms, ceiling fans, refrigerators, insect screen and balconies.

Daintree Retreat Daintree Rooms look out onto the tropical vegetation and are luxuriously designed. These rooms have king split beds (which can be turned into two single beds) and they have separate day beds as well. These suites have a private bathroom with a deep bathtub, and floor to ceiling glass window looking out to the rainforest. They have polished timber floors, air-conditioning and CD players.

Rainforest Retreat Rainforest Rooms are free-standing timber buildings. This eco-havens have great rainforest views from the screened lounge area, and feature a king sized bed or two king bed splits and can accommodate an additional rollaway bed for an extra guest (charges apply). There are 66 rooms in total and wheelchair accessible rooms are subject to availability.

Rainforest Family Retreat Rainforest Family Rooms are free-standing timber buildings. This eco-havens have great rainforest views from the screened lounge area, and feature a king sized bed and two single beds and can accommodate a family of 2 Adults & 2 Children.

Fall asleep to the sounds of croaking frogs and the gentle rushing of fresh water creeks. Wake up to the pitter patter sounds of native rainforest animals and the chirping of tropical birds such as the Rainbow Lorikeet, Flaming Macaw, Kookaburra and colorful parrots. Couples seeking a romantic escape from the city can enjoy flaming torch lit dinners on the beach, private retreat suites and intimate couple’s spa treatments.

Explore the Daintree Rainforest self-drive or on a guided tour and see enormous salt water crocodiles, rare cassowaries, amazing waterfalls and the stunning Cape Tribulation Beach.

At Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa there are two resort swimming pools that meander through the rainforest. Cool off in these refreshing salt water pools or alternatively enjoy a walk along the beach of Cape Tribulation Beach. At Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa there is a resort gift shop, bicycle hire and safety deposit boxes.

The Cape Restaurant and Bar located onsite is Cape Tribulation’s premier restaurant specializing in Australasian cuisine. The menu changes daily but diners can always expect fresh seafood and local produce nightly. Come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Start the day with an elaborate breakfast buffet. The lunch buffet is filled with an assortment of salads, sandwiches and snacks and the sumptuous dinner menus are both buffet and a-la-carte. The Cassowary Café, located at Cape Tribulation Resort’s sister property Ferntree’s Resort, has more casual meals in a lovely timber restaurant with a wrap around verandah.

Location:

Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa is located in Cape Tribulation. From Cairns drive north past Port Douglas and past the small town of Mossman until you reach the Daintree Cable Ferry. Once you have crossed the cable ferry continue for about 40 minutes until you reach Cape Tribulation, Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa is on the left hand side of the road.

We can also arrange transfers by coach, private vehicle or perhaps a one or two day tour including the sights on the way.
