Ferntree Rainforest Lodge Style of Rooms

Ferntree’s Rainforest Lodge offers accommodation styles ranging from Poolside Rooms and Garden Room with Loft. The Garden Rooms with Loft are great for families. These rooms are air-conditioned and have refrigerators, balconies and private bathroom facilities. Garden Rooms with Loft have a king sized bed (or 2 single beds) and two single beds upstairs in the loft. This accommodation style has stunning rainforest views that can be enjoyed from private balconies; private bathrooms and showers, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing boards and refrigerators. All rooms are cool and comfortable and are submerged unobtrusively in amongst the rainforest offering uninterrupted views of exotic flora and fauna not seen anywhere else in the world.

Poolside Rooms have a king sized bed and a single day bed, television and telephone. Poolside rooms are located right beside Ferntree Rainforest Lodge Resort’s salt water free form swimming pool.

Ferntree Rainforest Lodge Facilities

Ferntree Rainforest Lodge has two resort style swimming pools surrounded by a tropical pool deck with lounge chairs. Kids will enjoy these shallow swimming pools which are a safe and fun place for the little one’s to splash around in; there is also plenty of shade to escape the strong tropical sunshine. Hire bicycles and cycle to the Cape Tribulation Shop for an ice cream cone or wander through some of the extensive trails through the rainforest just outside of your doorstep.

There is a mangrove boardwalk and a beach track that leads right from Ferntree Rainforest Lodge. Guests staying at Ferntree Rainforest Lodge can watch sporting games and other shows in the communal television room or meet other guests staying at the resort around the communal barbeque.
The Cassowary Café is a timber building with two huts and a wrap around verandah where guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner underneath the rainforest canopy. The Cassowary Café is fun, relaxed and casual; breakfast is buffet style and dinner is a-la-carte menu featuring pizza, pasta, grilled steak, fish and chicken.

While staying at Ferntree Resort Lodge slip over next door to the Cape Tribulation Resort and Spa and indulge in a luxuriant spa treatment. This brand new spa features radiant treatments like body scrubs, manicures, facials and massages using only 100% naturally derived products.

Basic business facilities such internet dial-up connection and faxing are available at reception. No mobile phone reception is available in Cape Tribulation.

Location:

Ferntree Rainforest Lodge is located in Cape Tribulation. From Cairns drive past Port Douglas and Mossman. Cross the Daintree Cableway and then continue 40 minutes, Ferntree Rainforest Lodge is on the left hand side of the road.

To get to Ferntree Rainforest Lodge you can use the following options:

Coach transfers are available between Cairns and Cape Tribulation daily. We can recommend suitable transport companies who offer daily transfers to and from Cairns airport; they also provide a similar service from Port Douglas. Transfer time is approximately two and half hours each way from Cairns. Alternatively we have a range of 2 or 3 day tours which include guided tours enroute to Cape Tribulation.

You can also organise to hire a car or drive your own and enjoy the magnificent scenery at your leisure. Once you arrive at the Daintree River the ferry, operating between 6am to 11pm, will take you across to Cape Tribulation.
