Lake Tinaroo is an aquatic lover’s paradise and is a popular place for both locals and holiday-makers. Lake Tinaroo has over 200 kilometres of shoreline, and was created by blocking of the water from the Barron River creating a dam that sustains many of the farms on the Atherton Tablelands. Fisherman will love the waters of Tinaroo that yield a constant supply of giant barramundi and red claw yabbies. Wakeboarders and water skiers will enjoy the smooth waters with nooks and bays that are private and untouched by other boats. Non-motorised water sports such as canoeing, sailing and kayaking are also popular on Lake Tinaroo or if you are happy exploring nature then there are several nature walks around the lake too.
Lake Tinaroo Terraces have absolute lakefront access and feature two accommodation styles: Lodges and Ensuites. The Lodges are two-story terrace style accommodation that have two bedrooms. The master bedroom is located up stairs and there is a double bunk bed room downstairs. A futon in the living room sleeps an additional two guests and the lodges can carry a maximum of 9 guests. The lodges at Lake Tinaroo Terraces have fully self-contained kitchens or if you wish to dine out, Pensini’s Restaurant is a quick walk away. Ensuite rooms overlook the lodges and the lake and have either a double bed and futon or three single beds. These rooms have private bathrooms but use communal kitchen and dining facilities.
