Cockatoo Hill Retreat is located 17 km away from the Daintree River Ferry Crossing and is nestled on its own private patch of paradise. Driving time from Cairns to the retreat is approximately 2 hours, from Port Douglas just over one hour. Best to hire a small 4WD to come to the retreat. After crossing the Daintree river by car ferry about 16.5 k on Cape tribulation road.The Daintree car ferry operates constantly, every day from 6am to midnight, the crossing takes about 10 minutes.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be in writing. For cancellations made 30 days or more prior to date of arrival a cancellation fee of A$100 will apply to the refund of your deposit. For cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival date, or "no shows", the entire stay minus the deposit will be charged unless we are able to rebook the period.

Children & Extra Bed

Teenage children only, extra bed for one child added to parents room at $70 B&B, for two children they have to have their own tree house. Younger children accepted if retreat is exclusively booked.
