The Lakes Resort and Spa’s Room Styles

The Lakes Resort and Spa features several accommodation types suitable for families, groups and couples. Each room has an open planned layout where special attention is given to space and design. Choose from a one, two or three bedroom apartment in this low-rise holiday complex. All apartments are self contained with modern European appliances (oven, microwave, dishwasher, stove, fridge) quality fixtures ad fittings and separate sleeping, living and dining areas. All apartments have spacious lanai verandahs or balconies that are furnished and that serve as great places to chill out and relax after a busy day touring Cairns. All apartments are fully air conditioned, have cable TVs and pay-per view movies, and have in-room safes.

One Bedroom Apartments have a queen sized bed or a king bed split (king sized bed that can be separated into two single beds).
Two Bedroom Apartments have a queen sized bed and a king bed split or two king sized beds; two bedroom deluxe apartments have a second bathroom and pool views.
Two Bedroom Deluxe Apartments feature two bathrooms and have a queen sized bed and a king bed split or two king sized beds; two bedroom deluxe apartments have a second bathroom and pool views.
Three Bedroom Apartments have a queen sized bed and two king splits or three king split beds; these rooms have two bathrooms and sleep six people.

The Lakes Resort and Spa Facilities

Swim in one of four tropical swimming pools one being a heated lagoon style swimming pool with a whirlpool spa, a sandy beach style swimming pool, a lap pool for the fit and healthy and a leveled swimming pool which is great for kids. Play a game of tennis at the resort’s full size flood lit tennis court. Kids and teenagers will love the play ground and games room that has air-hockey tables, coin operated games, books and board games. For those wishing to stay active and fit there is a complimentary gymnasium with both cardio and weight equipment and a bocce and basketball court. The Lakes Resort and Spa’s resort shop has a range of souvenirs, groceries and liquor so you don’t need to travel all the way to Cairns to take care of your basic needs.

There is one restaurant onsite, Rambutan’s Bistro is great for families. Rambutan’s Bistro which has a casual atmosphere has a pasta buffet night, seafood buffet night and Asian buffet night as well as an a la carte lunch, dinner and takeaway menu. Red’s Day Spa is classed as one of the best salons in Cairns and offers radiant treatments such as spa, body and face treatments- how about trying an invigorating Vichy Shower! The hair salon is operated by one of Australia’s best hairdressers and the salon won the The Best New Salon when it opened in 2000. The day spa has several treatments with a main focus on skincare. For business travellers, there are two meeting rooms at The Lakes Resort and Spa Cairns. Various styles of functions such as business meetings, team building activities, cocktail functions and small weddings can be held in one of the two function rooms, at Lago Restaurant or around the resorts tropical grounds. Functions of up to 100 delegates are catered for.

This is all located only 4 minutes easy access to Cairns downtown via a resort shuttle service that picks up from The Lakes Cairns Resort & Spa every hour from 9am to 6pm, this is in addition to a local scheduled bus services that picks up outside The Lakes Cairns Resort & Spa.
