The Lakes Resort and Spa’s Accommodation Description
The Lakes Resort and Spa features several accommodation types suitable for families, groups and couples. Each room has an open planned layout where special attention is given to space and design. Choose from a one, two or three bedroom apartment in this low-rise holiday complex. All apartments are self contained with modern European appliances (oven, microwave, dishwasher, stove, fridge) quality fixtures ad fittings and separate sleeping, living and dining areas. All two and three bedroom apartments have spacious lanai verandahs or balconies that are furnished and that serve as great places to chill out and relax after a busy day touring Cairns. All apartments are fully air conditioned, have cable TVs and pay-per view movies, and have in-room safes.
One Bedroom Apartments have a queen sized bed or a king split bed (king sized bed that can be separated into two single beds).
Two Bedroom Apartments have a queen sized bed and a king split bed or two king split beds.
Two Bedroom Deluxe Apartments feature two bathrooms and have a queen sized bed and a king split beds or two king split beds; two bedroom deluxe apartments have a second bathroom and pool views and are larger than standard two bedroom apartments.
Three Bedroom Apartments main bedroom has a king spit bed, second bedroom has queen sized bed and third bedroom has a queen bed or two single beds; these rooms have two bathrooms and sleep six people.
The Lakes Resort and Spa Facilities
The Lakes Resort and Spa has some of Cairns best resort facilities. Swim in one of four tropical swimming pools one being a heated lagoon style swimming pool with a whirlpool spa, a sandy beach style swimming pool, a lap pool for the fit and healthy and a leveled swimming pool which is great for kids. Play a game of tennis at the resort’s full size flood lit tennis court. Kids and teenagers will love the play ground and games room that has air-hockey tables, coin operated games, books and board games. Yes, the accommodation was very nice. Grounds and landscaping are beautiful and very well kept, cleanliness sensational, and swimming pool/bbq areas excellent. Shame pools and spa or at least some weren't heated, wasn't able to swim at all. Room was nice, except it was very dark inside, you had to open up all the balcony doors/shades to get light inside the apartment. But overall, very happy.
I love the Lakes and have stayed there many times. It is fantastic for families and very safe for children. The people at the Lakes are very friendly and helpful. I have family in Cairns who also love to visit us when we stay at the Lakes. We will definitely stay there on our next visit

yes, though in hindsight perhaps would have preferred serviced accommodation, and a bit closer to town.

only comment, pools a bit cold. I know that most of the year heating isn't needed, but it would have been nice to be warmer at this time of the year, as we didn't get much use out of them. Maybe also to turn one pool into more of a more children oriented pool with water spouts, fountains etc

Very happy with resort and all it had to offer. Service was excellent as was the facilities available. Air conditioner wasnt the best but luckily we were still able to sleep.

Thankyou for handling our booking at the Lakes Cairns Resort and Spa. Overall we had a wonderful stay there. The apartment was excellent, we particularly like the covered outside room where we spent most of our time. We were welcomed and looked after as soon as we arrived by the reception staff. We were particularly grateful for all the help our shuttle bus driver, Brian gave us. He was extremely informative and accommodating, especially on our shopping trips when we had bags and bags of shopping. Once again thankyou Cairns Accommodation for all your help. We are extremely appreciative and would recommend you to any of our friends intending to travel to Cairns.

The resort was beautiful, apartment was great, nice and clean the 4 swimming pools & spa were fantastic, restaurant with alternating theme nights for their menu was very good, throw that in with happy hour & cocktail of the day, all the staff were fantastic, weather was great what more could you ask for will be re-booking in late Feb 2010.
