The Hotel Cairns Style of Rooms
While staying at The Hotel Cairns you will have a choice of three room types. All rooms have contemporary décor with classical Queensland designs, marble floors, rich terracotta tiles and luxurious fixtures and fittings. All rooms are fully air conditioned, have 54 complimentary satellite TV channels to be watched on your flat screen plasma TV, have Molten Brown toiletries, luxurious linens and towels, tea and coffee facilities and an iron and ironing board. There are 92 rooms in the Queensland Plantation style hotel.
The Hotel Cairns Plantation Rooms are simple and convenient. These rooms are on the first (ground) floor of the hotel and are 22sqm. Plantation Rooms are modernly furnished and have either two king single beds or a king sized bed.
The luxurious Tower Rooms are on the second, third and fourth floor of the Hotel Cairns. These rooms are 33sqm and have large private balconies with white wicker chaise loungers to relax and recharge while enjoying a refreshing cocktail or a good book. Tower Rooms have a Queen bed and some rooms have an additional single bed for that extra child or friend. Tower King Suites are the superior rooms located on the top floor of the hotel and feature the best rooms in the house. These rooms are 50sqm with spacious balconies offering magnificent city and pool views. Tower King Suites are luxurious and comfortable and have queen sized beds.

while the room was good size and clean we had less than a perfect experience upon arrival the person at the desk watched us load our luggage on the cart and told us the lift was just around the corner , it was but up 4 or 5 steps the cart was usless and he knew it, the "shower room" was not as we expected and felt unsafe and not useful at all.
Yes, it was clean with good facilities and central location. If visiting cairns again, it is where I would stay :)
The hotel was nice. The reception staff were a little dismissive. They pretty much just gave us the envelope with two keys and said rooms that way and pointed. We had dinner in the restaurant twice. The first night was the Monday so it wasnt busy and so it was good service. The menu is a little limited. The second time was Saturday and they had a few large groups and it was one mishap after the other and it took a long time between courses. This is nothing you can help but the hotel could do better. Especially on check in. And if they have large groups in tell the guest when booking dinner.. great location though so ok for what we paid.

We were only able to stay there for one night, but while we were there we found the area nice and quiet. It was a good location in the sence where we could walk to all of the nearby ammenities including a short walk to the harbour. The hotel itself was very fashionable and clean. The one disappointment was only having one teller at front reception. I found that the receptionist never answered the phone and I had to continually go down to ask them questions which could have been easily answered over the phone. I found them texting on their phone or simply avoiding picking up the reception phone which is very dissapointing.
Yes we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The location was so convienent it was within walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to see and do. The hotel was very comfortable making it easy for us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Just wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you!
Our stay at Hotel Cairns was enjoyable, however the room we were in is outdated and small no hanging space for clothes.
Yes, I really loved it. The hotel was in a fabulous position, easy to get everywhere. Restaurant lovely. Would like to have had a larger room, or separate room, but that wasn't possible. Everyone was helpful and friendly.
Yes, it was wonderful, just what we wanted. The location is excellent as is the service. We loved being able to use a Smart-Car and the Plantation Restaurant is superb, simply superb.

The accomadation, Staff and Resturant food was fantastic. A short walk to the Esplanade and the price was reasonable. To top it all off we got to use a car for a day for absolutely free.

HOTEL CAIRNS WAS EXCELLENT ROOM,SERVICE AND THE MEALS WERE 5 STAR. OVERALL ONE OF THE BEST STAYS EVER. IN THE END WE RETURNED TO THE HOTEL CAIRNS FOR AN EXTRA TWO DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTING CAIRNS
Sadly, a little too close to main street. Indoor lighting too dull. Breakfast too overpriced.
