Daintree Crocodylus Village Accommodation

Multi-share Dorm
Perfect for backpackers or those travelling alone, share the rainforest experience in one of our multi-share dorm rooms. Each of the rooms have a maximum of four beds (2 bunks) and open out onto their very own rainforest veranda. Toilet and shower facilities are available in the shared amenities block just metres away. (Max 4 guests)

Jungle Double
Just the thing for those watching their pennies but who don’t want to share our Jungle Doubles or Twins have a double bed with mozzie net and use the shared facilities. Toilets are only metres away so midnight visits are no problem! (Max 2 guests)

Tropical Cabin
Nestled under the undisturbed rainforest canopy and with only one common wall our Tropical Cabins are perfect for a couple. Each cabin has its own shower and separate toilet, a double bed and an outdoor table and chairs for the private veranda. (Max 2 guests)

Rainforest Bungalow
Set individually within the rainforest with no common walls and sleeping up to eight people our Rainforest Bungalows are perfect for a large family or perhaps two smaller ones. Each bungalow has its own bathroom facilities and a large private veranda with tables and chairs. Rates are based on two guests, additional fees for extra guests. (Max 8 guests)

Kingfisher Cafe
Kingfisher Cafe is open all day everyday with loads of fresh and tasty tropical fare that will tantalise your taste buds but won’t break your budget. Open from 7.30am-8.30pm everyday offering a diverse range of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options including Pizza, Burgers, Wraps, Smoothies, Sandwiches, Cakes, Fruit Salads and Coffee! Kingfisher Café offers a very unique casual dining experience as you will eat right under the rainforest canopy surrounded by the sights and sounds of the jungle.

Gecko Bar
The Gecko Bar is fully licensed with plenty of exotic cocktails and local brews to keep you well watered and your thirst at bay. A perfect place to wind down after a day out exploring the Daintree, as you sit back and relax and enjoy the rainforest at night.

Self Catering Kitchen
Our self catering kitchen has everything you need to prepare all your own meals. Kettles, Toasters, Micro-wave oven, Fridge and freezers, Crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, fridges, gas cooker, BBQ and lots more. (Just make sure you label all your food with your name and departure date so it's not accidentally thrown out).

General Store
With no supermarkets north of the Daintree River we keep a good selection of groceries, fruit and veggies, toiletries and IT needs just in case you forgot something.

This Sea Kayaking Adventure to beautiful Snapper Island National Park is simply amazing! The 2 day trip across the Great Barrier Reef and camping on pristine untouched beaches, will have you wanting to become a modern Robinson Crusoe and stay in the Daintree forever! Snapper Island National Park is situated 11km from Cow Bay Beach, Cape Tribulation. Uninhabited, filled with tropical rainforest and surrounded by magnificent coral reef and white sandy beaches you will have no trouble filling up your time snorkelling, walking, lazing and exploring.

The 11km kayak is taken at a slow pace to ensure everyone makes the most of the spectacular views of the Daintree Coastline and can spend time posing for photos and spotting all the sea life that accompanies you along the way - turtles and sea birds for sure and maybe even a dugong or whale!

Throughout the trip you will be accompanied by an expert guide who will keep your safe, prepare your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, set up your tents and sing you to sleep (well at least send you to sleep with his jokes and ghost stories).

Once on the island you will have plenty of time to explore Snapper Islands rainforest and fringing coral reefs before settling down to dinner and a spectacular sunset then its off to bed in your true room with a view two man tent to rest up for tomorrow's next adventure. Wake up next day to the amazing sunrise and breakfast, then its off again to kayak slowly back to Cow Bay beach visiting Shipwreck Cove, Robinson Crusoe and Coral Cove along the way for morning tea and lunch and possibly one more snorkel. Return back to Crocodylus Village.

Location

Daintree Crocodylus Village is located right in the heart of the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest National Park and half way between the Daintree Ferry and Cape Tribulation. You can self drive in a conventional car or we can arrange one of the daily transfers to and from Cairns, or Port Douglas. Transfer time is approximately two and half hours each way from Cairns.

From Cairns drive past Port Douglas and Mossman. Cross the Daintree Cableway and then continue north to the turn off to Cow Bay onto Buchanan Creek Road - Daintree Crocodylus Village is just off the main road at Cow Bay.
