We enjoyed our stay at Cairns Oasis Resort, great pool and fantastic king bed with a choice of comfy pillows. The resort is a little tired, but a great location, 1 block back from the Esplanade. Is easy to stroll to hundreds of restaurants, marine and shipping etc. Would definitely stay again.

Yes our stay was most enjoyable the reception staff were very helpful and friendly our one concern was the kitchen staff were unable to cope with our group dinner to our satisfaction a glitch in the computer system
was to blame but the dining room service was excellent under the conditions

Overall, we did enjoy our stay.
Positives: nice big relaxing lagoon style pool, particularly beautiful at night. Breakfast 2 for 1 offer was a great deal and made it affordable for us, along with a late check out time to tie us through to flight departure.
Negatives: requested Cairns Holiday Specialist to kindly organise a bottle of wine for our celebration, but there was no note on our file upon arrival/check in. Requested hotel staff to organise in-room bathroom slippers and once again this was dismissed. There was no warning of hundreds of loud crying fruit bats/flying foxes living right in front of the trees in front of our room balcony. Could not sleep at all due to the noises and was pretty freaked out by the amount of bats surrounding us.

It's quite disappointing to find that they gave us a double bed room which was impossible to have space for an extra bed for my son even though we had specify such request during the booking. The guy at the front desk was not willing to help and kept telling us that all rooms had been booked and they had nothing to offer. On the contraty, the manageress was so helpful that she kept working on swappping the room and finally exchanged a 3 single bed room for us.

We had a lovely time at the Oasis. The staff are efficient, the restaurant and the poolside cafe are very good. It is close to the centre of town and near the Esplanade.

I loved loved loved my holiday at the Novotel and Cairns put on the best weather for half the visit and the rest , well it didn't matter. We swam up in the pool to the bar for a cocktail and all the staff were extremely friendly . My room was smaller than I anticipated but as I was with a best friend , it didn't matter either.

it was ok , there was a tree next to our room with flying foxes in it so a bit noisy with balcony door open, we had 3 people booked into our room but only set up for 2 , we needed to ask for extra towels and cups and glasses, the pool was quite dirty and didn't see anyone ever cleaning it over the 5 days but in saying that it was windy & surly someone did clean it. We went down for happy hour on 2 afternoons and the staff were lovely & even remembered my dads name from the previous time (impressive) it was a nice atmosphere around the bar/pool area.

Hotel and its facilities were great. The happy hour at bar and bar snacks were great way to meet people and the hotel is only couple blocks form esplanade shops and restaurants.
