The Lakes Resort Apartments Cairns features several accommodation types suitable for families, groups and couples. Each room has an open planned layout where special attention is given to space and design. All apartments are self contained with modern European appliances (oven, microwave, dishwasher, stove, fridge) quality fixtures ad fittings and separate sleeping, living and dining areas. All two and three bedroom apartments have spacious lanai verandahs or balconies that are furnished and that serve as great places to chill out and relax after a busy day exploring Cairns. Loved the accommodation apart from the double room having two single beds stuck together made it uncomfortable. The service at reception was fantastic and very friendly. Loved the fact we had the ground floor apartment as both my mum and I have problems with hips and feet. The bistro wasn't the best food which was a shame but we were told about dunwoodies which was excellent . All in all though I really loved my stay and the resort was awesome, can't wait to come back to cairns again in the future and hopefully be able to stay there again. Thank you so much.

Good accommodation, spacious room, good resort facilities, close to airport.
No wi-fi, small TV (no real issue for us) self contained apartment so you have to provide everything yourself (garbage bags, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid etc...)

Yes we enjoyed our time again in Cairns the Lakes[which we had stayed at before] was a little disappointing in that you can see it needs some up keep, it looks very tired and run down, the cleanliness of the place was not up to scratch, the carpet in the main bedroom was so badly stained you didn't want to go into the room.

Yes, the accommodation was very nice. Grounds and landscaping are beautiful and very well kept, cleanliness sensational, and swimming pool/bbq areas excellent. Shame pools and spa or at least some weren't heated, wasn't able to swim at all. Room was nice, except it was very dark inside, you had to open up all the balcony doors/shades to get light inside the apartment. But overall, very happy.

I love the Lakes and have stayed there many times. It is fantastic for families and very safe for children. The people at the Lakes are very friendly and helpful. I have family in Cairns who also love to visit us when we stay at the Lakes. We will definitely stay there on our next visit

only comment, pools a bit cold. I know that most of the year heating isn't needed, but it would have been nice to be warmer at this time of the year, as we didn't get much use out of them. Maybe also to turn one pool into more of a more children oriented pool with water spouts, fountains etc

Thankyou for handling our booking at the Lakes Cairns Resort and Spa. Overall we had a wonderful stay there. The apartment was excellent, we particularly like the covered outside room where we spent most of our time. We were welcomed and looked after as soon as we arrived by the reception staff. We were particularly grateful for all the help our shuttle bus driver, Brian gave us. He was extremely informative and accommodating, especially on our shopping trips when we had bags and bags of shopping. Once again thankyou Cairns Accommodation for all your help. We are extremely appreciative and would recommend you to any of our friends intending to travel to Cairns.

The resort was beautiful, apartment was great, nice and clean the 4 swimming pools & spa were fantastic, restaurant with alternating theme nights for their menu was very good, throw that in with happy hour & cocktail of the day, all the staff were fantastic, weather was great what more could you ask for will be re-booking in late Feb 2010.
